This day is dedicated to Consus who represents the end of the sowing activities. In the past the related festivity was celebrated with processions and races of mules ornated with flower wreaths.
At present we can celebrate this day eating a frugal meal with flatbreads, spelt, bean and lentil soup. It is better not to eat meat because Consus is linked to agricultural works in the fields and these Gods do not appreciate animal slaughtering.
