April: Generation

During this period of the year, between March and April, the Nature is in a phase of great activity related to generation and re-generation. The month of March in particular is dedicated to  the male generating power linked to Mars, while April is a period dedicated to the sacred feminine generating force connected to Venus.

It is important to highlight value and meaning of generation expressed by Venus, because these aspects represent a distinctive element of Traditional Roman Spirituality as well as for the Traditional Spirituality as a whole.

In order to understand this peculiarity it is important to remind that monotheism depicts a god, alone, creating and separating the elements, giving shape to the universe and modeling a man (not a woman) with his hands. Monotheism therefore implies a substantial distance, an unbridgeable difference between the creator god and his creatures. God, Nature and humanity are totally separate entities having nothing in common (in the past, in the present and in the future).

In the Traditional Roman Spirituality creation is linked to a generation process highly depending on an act of Love. Everything springs from an Union of Love between a God and a Goddess which both involved in generation: we have the same for all the beings of the Nature and thus for humanity. The Divine, the Nature and the Human are united by this feature, by this force that attracts and binds all the Beings. This force, that attracts and binds, sacralized in the figure of Venus, and that keeps locked together the male and the feminine polarities, as different components of a single whole Entity in all things (see the yin-yang), is the precondition of every union of Love,

Love is such a powerful force to render Death a key component of generation. This meaning explains the definition of Venus as Mors et Vita origo.

This splendid Etruscan sarcophagus, more than any other explanation, symbolically describes the power of this force, this bond of love that unites the male and the feminine polarities "embraced" (as in yin-yang) as a precondition for the re-birth and re generation from death.

Moreover, being a common aspect to all "existing realities", this force of Love makes reality "permeable": the Divine, Nature and Humanity are not separate and distinct entities. 

This common vital energy, that pervades the universe, renders Gods and Goddesses close to and present in men and women and viceversa. Similarly Nature becomes part of us and we are part of the Nature. The Divine lives within us and within the Nature and the Nature and humanity are similarly present in the Divine

Aprile: Generazione

In questo periodo dell'anno, a cavallo fra marzo ed aprile, la Natura si trova in una fase di grande attività connessa alla generazione e alla ri-generazione. Il mese di Marzo in particolare è dedicato alla forza generatrice maschile legata a Marte, mentre Aprile è un periodo dedicato alla sacralizzazione della forza generatrice femminile connessa a Venere. 

E' importante sottolineare il valore ed il senso della generazione espressa da Venere, perchè rappresenta un elemento distintivo della Spiritualità Tradizionale Romana così come per la Spiritualità Tradizionale nel suo complesso.

Per capire questa peculiarità basta ricordare che nel monoteismo viene rappresentato un dio che, da solo, crea e separa gli elementi, dà forma all'universo e che modella l'uomo (non la donna) con le sue mani. In tal modo si evidenzia una distanza sostanziale, una diversità incolmabile, fra il dio creatore e le sue creature. Dio, la Natura e l'umanità sono soggetti totalmente distinti che non hanno, ne avranno, mai nulla in comune.

Nella Spiritualità Tradizionale Romana la creazione è legata ad una generazione sempre dipendente da un atto di Amore. Tutto scaturisce da un'unione di amore fra un Dio e una Dea che insieme partecipano alla generazione: lo stesso avviene per tutti gli esseri della Natura e quindi per l'umanità. Il Divino, il Naturale e l'Umano sono accomunati da questa caratteristica, da questa forza che attrae e lega gli Esseri. E' questa forza che attrae e lega, sacralizzata nella figura di Venere, e che tiene avvinghiati il maschile ed il femminile, come aspetti diversi di un unico Tutto presente in ogni cosa (vedere lo yin-yang), il presupposto di ogni unione di Amore, 

L'Amore è una forza talmente potente da rendere la Morte una componente fondamentale della generazione. In questo senso si spiega la stessa definizione di Venere come Mors et Vita origo.

Questo splendido sarcofago etrusco, più di ogni altra spiegazione, descrive simbolicamente la potenza di questa forza, di questo legame di Amore che unisce il maschile ed il femminile abbracciati (come nello yin-yang) come presupposto per la ri-nascita e la ri-generazione dalla morte.

Inoltre, essendo un aspetto comune a tutto ciò che esiste, questa forza di Amore rende la realtà "permeabile": il Divino, la Natura e l'Umanità non sono entità separate e distinte. 

Questa stessa energia vitale che pervade l'Universo fa sì che gli Dei e le Dee possano essere vicini e presenti negli uomini e nelle donne e viceversa. Allo stesso modo la Natura diventa parte di noi e noi parte della Natura.  Il Divino è in noi e nella Natura e la Natura e l'umanità sono in qualche modo presente dentro il Divino
