Signs and Signals

The signs are the means through which sacred symbols can be represented .

Gold for example is a symbol of the Sun and this metal can be represented by a sign. All letters are typical signs which can convey a symbol: in the same time they can be combined in words showing an even more complex symbolic value. This is the case of the letter "P", "H" or "A" or the word "Pontifex".

A Cultor and a Cultrix should therefore be familiar, even at a preliminary level, with the Science Signs because it provides those tools necessary to interpret, even at an initial stage, the symbolic value of these signs as descriptions, according to the traditional perspective, of the World, the Reality and the Universe (both at micro and at the macro level).

The case of the signals is rather different. The Nature, the gods and goddesses as well as all other forms of the Divine, send signals. This is because the Divine is within reality and then reality itself is an expression of the Divine within it.

While signs convey a symbolic language that ultimately has its own life, signals are sent to us because in some way to be recognized and identified as such. This is a fundamental base of the Science of Correspondences, and Divination which presuppose, as I already wrote in this blog, not only a sound erudition for the identification and understanding of the "message" received, but a state of awakening, consciusness, a deep knowledge reached thanks to the otium.

This awake awareness is a precondition to recognize these signals without being entrapped into a profane superstition or the state in which one sees signs everywhere and in every moment.

The knowledge of the signs and the ability to see and understand the signals are the basis  to the possibility to achieve the Pax Deorum/Dearum or a state of inner and outer peace because one has the ability to communicate with the Divine.

Today we are no longer able to recognize and understand these signals, a typical condition of the age of the "ruins" (Kali Yuga): mankind lives in a state of coma agitated by nightmares. And everything we everyday see around us, what happens in this crazy age is an obvious symptom of our inability to see these signals, our inability to "speak" with the Gods and Goddesses, the incapability in relating with the world and reality .

We are far from any kind of Pax Deorum/Dearum. We can no longer feel the Gods and Goddesses: we are, for our failure and choice, Atheists. We are alone, abandoned by the Divine.

And when mankind does not establish a true Pax Deorum/Dearum, it creates a dangerous vacuum which is filled only by human folly.

Segni e Segnali

I Segni sono i mezzi attraverso i quali possono essere rappresentati i simboli sacri. L'oro ad esempio è un metallo simbolo del Sole e può essere rappresentato con un Segno. Tutte le lettere dell'alfabeto sono un tipico esempio di segni che possono già da sole veicolare un simbolo e possono essere combinate in parole aventi a loro volta un complesso valore simbolico. E' questo il caso della lettera "P" o della lettera "H" o ancora della lettera "A". 

Il Cultor e la Cultrix sono chiamati quindi ad avere una conoscenza, anche introduttiva, della Scienza Dei Segni poichè permette di interpretare, anche ad un livello iniziale, il valore simbolico di questi Segni che sono una vera e propria descrizione, secondo la prospettiva Tradizionale, del Mondo, della Realtà e Dell'Universo (sia a livello Micro che a livello Macro).

Diverso è il caso dei Segnali. La Natura, gli Dei e le Dee nonchè tutte le altre declinazioni del Divino inviano dei segnali. Questo avviene perchè il Divino è dentro la realtà e quindi la realtà stessa è espressione del Divino che si trova al suo interno.

Mentre i segni veicolano un linguaggio simbolico che alla fine vive di vita propria, i segnali esistono e vengono inviati perchè in qualche modo vengano riconosciuti ed identificati come tali. E' questa una parte fondamentale della Scienza delle Corrispondenze e della stessa Scienza Divinatoria la quale presuppone, come ho già scritto in questo blog, non solo una grande erudizione per l'identificazione e la comprensione del "messaggio" che viene ricevuto, ma uno stato di veglia, di coscienza, di consapevolezza molto profondo raggiungibile grazie all'otium.

E' proprio questa consapevolezza vigile che permette di riconoscere questi segnali senza finire nella trappola della superstizione ovvero lo stato profano in cui si vedono segnali ovunque anche quando questi non ci sono.

La conoscenza dei segni e la capacità di vedere e capire i segnali sono alla base del conseguimento della Pax Deorum/Dearum ovvero uno stato di pace interiore ed esteriore poiché si dispone della capacità di dialogare con il Divino.

Noi oggi non siamo più in grado di riconoscere e capire questi segnali come è tipico del periodo delle "rovine" (Kali-Yuga): l'umanità vive in uno stato di coma agitato da incubi. E tutto quello che vediamo intorno a noi, quello che accade in questa epoca folle è un sintomo palese della nostra incapacità di vedere questi segnali, della nostra incapacità di "parlare" con gli Dei e le Dee, di relazionarci con il Mondo e la realtà. 

Siamo ben lontani da qualsiasi tipo di Pax Deorum/Dearum. Non riusciamo più a sentire gli Dei e le Dee: siamo, per nostra incapacità e scelta, in pratica Atei. Siamo rimasti soli, abbandonati dal Divino.

E quando l'umanità non stabilisce una vera Pax Deorum/Dearum si crea un pericoloso vuoto che viene riempito dalla follia umana.
