May - Maia

May is a month dedicated to the "underground fire" of the Earth and to Mystery (what is not perceivable and unknown). In particular this month is dedicated to the Goddess Maia, an underground Goddess (ctonia) whose male polarity is Vulcan

Maia is a Magna Mater (Great Mother) and from her name derives the term Maiestas: she is defined also Stata Mater (she blocking fire).

She is also defined as "she giving shapes". 

I want to dedicate this comprecatio by Gellius as invocation to Maia.
