November, whose name derives from the fact that it was the 9th month in the ancient calendar beginning in March, represents a period of "interiority". November follows the way of natural energy back under the ground during winter. This period is dedicated to underground Gods (Inferi) from who derives the energy for the creatures on the surface.

November is thus dedicated to Pluto (Underground Jupiter) whose name means "extremely rich", and to Proserpina (the Girl walking like snakes). Pluto represents the deep, Proserpina a vital force nourishing life in spring.
