What animates man? What makes man think and feel?
According to Traditional Roman Religion this function is sacralized by Genius (expression of male nature) and Juno (expresison of female nature).
Genius/Juno represent "personality" created at birth: they are a sort of guardians accompanying us throughout our life. The cult of Genius/Juno is a duty of the entire family: the festivity of Genius/Juno corresponds to the everyone's "Dies Natalis" from which it has derived the personal "birthday".
On human body Genius/Juno are ideally placed in the forehead: their symbol is the snake and this symbol links Genius/Juno to the Lares.
Genius/Juno give personality to man and other expressions of Genius/Juno give personality i.e. to sites as in the case of the Genius Loci. Genius Loci gives personality and identity to a specific place or site: he is the spirit of a place, its soul. It is thus essential to have the capability to acknowledge the presence of a Genius Loci in every place we are in, giving to him the necessary respect: nobody of us is owner of a place because we are only guests.
We must give respect for the places where we live or visit because we are called to give respect to the related Genius Loci.

Genius/Juno
Che cosa anima l'uomo? Che cosa lo fa pensare e sentire?
Secondo la Religione Tradizionale Romana questa funzione è sacralizzata attraverso la figura di Genius (espressione della natura maschile) e da Juno (espressione della natura femminile).
Genius/Juno rappresentano la personalità che si costituisce alla nascita: essi diventano come dei custodi che ci accompagnano. Al culto di Genius/Juno è chiamata a partecipare la famiglia: la festività di Genius/Juno corrisponde al "Dies Natalis" di ciascuno da cui è derivata la festa del "compleanno".
Sul corpo umano Genius/Juno si collocano idealmente sulla fronte: il loro simbolo è il serpente e ciò li lega ai Lari.
Come Genius/Juno attribuiscono personalità all'uomo, esistono altre espressioni di Genius/Juno che attribuiscono personlaità come ad esempio il "Genius Loci". Il Genius Loci attribuisce personalità ed identità ad un luogo specifico: è l'anima, lo spirito di un luogo. E' essenziale saper riconoscere il genius loci di ogni luogo ed attrbuire ad esso il dovuto rispetto. Nessuno di noi è proprietario di un luogo, ma solo un ospite.
Per questo noi siamo tenuti ad avere il necessario rispetto per tutti i luoghi poichè siamo chiamati a rispettare il relativo Genius.

Maggio/May
Maggio è il mese dedicato al fuoco sotterraneo ed al mistero (ciò che non è percepibile ed è ignoto). In particolare il mese è dedicato alla Dea Maia, divinità sotterranea (ctonia) la cui polarità maschile è Vulcano.
Maia è una Magna Mater (da cui deriva il termine Maiestas) ed è definita Stata Mater (colei che arresta il fuoco).
E' definita inoltre come "colei che dà le forme".
